‘KISS OF DEATH” WEB SERIES
NYCgrind.com is proud to present the new “Kiss of Death“ web series. This series, presented by Poison Billiards, will follow the ladies of team “Kiss of Death” throughout the weeks leading up to the BCAPL National 8-ball Championships, where they will compete in the Masters Team Division for the first time, after going undefeated in the Women’s Open Championship in 2009 in a field of 143 teams. Each episode of the 12-week series will be five minutes or less, and will hit the web at 8:00 pm EST every Thursday on NYCgrind.com and Blip.tv. Kiss of Death features: Team captain Gail Glazebrook, Michele Li, Emily Duddy, Borana Andoni, Olga Gashkova, and Alison Fischer.

EPISODE 1: KOD Dynamics
The big news for Kiss of Death in this episode is that teammate Emily Duddy had just qualified for a spot on the WPBA women’s pro tour after finishing in the top nine at the WPBA Regional Tour Championship, making her the first girl on the team to get a tour card for the WPBA… definitely cause for celebration. We will also get a look at KOD’s trip to Raxx Pool Room in Hempstead, NY for the Predator 9-ball Tour’s Empire State Amateur Championship, where a number of the KOD girls competed.
EPISODE 2: KOD Visits the Super Billiards Expo
In “Kiss of Death” Episode #2: KOD visits the Super Billiards Expo, the team sets out to the greatest show on pool earth, the Super Billiards Expo. The women pool players perform an exhibition for Poison Billiards, play in the Women’s Open event and Emily and Borana play in the Women’s pro Invitational. Be sure to watch the episode, to follow the girls on their journey to Vegas!!!
EPISODE 3: KOD on the NYCGrind
In “Kiss of Death” Episode #3: KOD on the NYC Grind, team members Emily Duddy and Borana Andonimeet in NYC to play in the NAPL (National Amateur Pool League) with their team league team “I’d Hit That”. Then, Borana and Emily look to stay in the competitive groove as they meet up with KOD team membersMichele Li and Olga Gashkova in Brooklyn to participate in one of the toughest “open” weekly tournaments in NYC, at Skyline Billiards.
EPISODE 4: Reservoir Engery
The fourth episode of “Kiss of Death” kicks off with KOD’s team meeting, where the girls get together to work on some team building as well as watch the third episode of the web series. Next, we’ll head to Eastside Billiards for the Sunday weekly tournament, where KOD’s Olga Gashkova competes against Neslihan Gureland NYC Grind’s Jerry T. Then, the feature event of this episode is Kiss of Death’s challenge match against NYC-based men’s team “Reservoir Dawgs.” In this battle of the sexes, the two teams faced off in a race to 13, the same format that the teams will compete in at the 34th Annual BCAPL National 8-ball Championships in May. Watch how the match unfolds in this episode of Kiss of Death…
EPISODE 5: Positive Energy
In the fifth episode of “Kiss of Death” the girls continue to build momentum going into Vegas. The BCAPL 8-Ball Championships are only 28 days away, where Kiss of Death will be competing in the team masters event. Also in “Positive Energy,” Olga shares her unique perspective on the game, and show her teammates support in competition, as Emily and Gail battle at the NAPL in NY at Barfly, and continue to build momentum and positive energy.
EPISODE 6: GET CLOSER
In the 6th Episode of “Kiss of Death” NYC Grind follows members of KOD to Master Billiards for the 6th tour stop of theOzone Billiards Predator 9-ball Tour. Team Captain Gail Glazebrook, who runs the tour with Tony Robles, gives us the inside scoop on how the tour has progressed and what their goals for the tour are. Next, KOD heads out of the pool room, where Olga Gashkova breaks down her Tae-Bo workout routine, and the girls discuss how working out has positively affected their pool games and their lives
EPISODE 7: TEAM PLAY-OFF FEVER
In Episode 7, we follow the KOD team to Amsterdam Billiards, where the girls competed in the first round of the Team 9-ball playoffs. Gail and Borana’s team “WTF” move on to the 2nd round, along with Emily and Olga’s team “Pocket Porn Stars.” Then, we head to Willow Billiards in Hoboken, NJ where Michele breaks down how things went in the 2nd round of action on Sunday. EPISODE 8: VEGAS BOUND
In this episode, Kiss of Death is preparing for their much-awaited trip to Las Vegas for the 34th Annual BCAPL 8-ball Championships, where the girls are competing both in individual, doubles, and team competitions. KOD team captain Gail, along with Tony Robles, are getting ready to depart for their flight. We’ll also get to hear from the sixth member of Kiss of Death, Alison Fischer, as she gets in some practice at Mickey’s Billiards in Wisconsin.
EPISODE 9: VEGAS BABY!
In this episode, Kiss of Death arrives in Las Vegas for the 34th Annual BCAPL National 8-ball Championships, where the girls are competing in individual, doubles, and team competitions. Five of the six team members competed in the Women’s Open singles division… where one of the Kiss of Death team members walked away with the championship title.
Along with breaking down the BCAPL National Championships, in this episode NYCgrind.com also mixes in the two major pro pool events that were held in conjunction with the BCAPL events. The World Pool Masters kicked off first, which is produced by Matchroom Sport. Later in the week, the inaugural CSI 10-Ball US Open Championships debuted at the Riviera as well.

In this episode, team Kiss of Death competes in the Masters Division for the first time in Las Vegas in the34th Annual BCAPL 8-ball Championships. Team Captain Gail Glazebrook went through the field of 402 Women to capture the Women’s Open 8-Ball Championships earlier in the event, and the team looked to build on that success. KOD also sweat the US Open 10-Ball Championships which ran in conjunction with the BCAPL team event.
EPISODE 11: EMPIRE STATE OF MIND
In this episode, team Kiss of Death captain Gail Glazebrook and “Queen B” Borana Andoni break down the teams experience ;in Las Vegas for the 34th Annual BCAPL 8-ball Championships. Team Captain Gail Glazebrook went through the field of 402 Women to capture the Women’s Open 8-Ball Championships earlier in the event, and the team looked to build on that success.
EPISODE 12: DOWN THE BUNNY HOLE!
In this episode, Kiss of Death meets up at Amsterdam Billiards to reflect on their journey throughout the web series both on and off the table. We will also get to hear their inside perspective on some of their team dynamics and how their experience with the series has impacted them as a team. The girls also explain what their team motto “Kill the Bunny” means… so be sure to get plugged in and check out the final episode of the series.
